Most prevalent amongst the changes in present-day drilling is how the dynamics of exploring for unconventional gas have evolved. Drilling projects are more tasking, as advanced methods such as multi-well pads, extended reach laterals and managed pressure drilling have become common practice. Pushing conventional rigs to their limits, these progressive techniques call for a new standard in performance… and through this evolution a new class of drilling rigs has emerged.
Specifically designed to meet these present-day challenges, our Rocket Rig™ offers operators the required level of performance. Designed to maximize safety and efficiency during drilling and moving operations, the rig is outfitted with high-horsepower / high-pressure mud pumps, 500 ton AC top drive and fully-integrated electronic drilling system. With available RigWalker™ system the rig is ideal for multi-well pad drilling, as it is capable of self-moving to engage up to twenty-four wells on a single pad without moving the backyard, all while leaving drill pipe racked to full setback capacity.
